A passionate fan incident has sparked a debate among WWE enthusiasts, and Drew McIntyre is here to share his side of the story.
In a recent interview with TMZ's Inside The Ring podcast, McIntyre opened up about an encounter with a fan who had won a raffle to meet a superstar backstage. The fan, eager to meet McIntyre, approached him with a surprising reaction.
"There was an interesting moment at a show last week. A fan, who had won the chance to meet a superstar, chose me! I was a bit hesitant, considering Cody Rhodes' popularity as the good guy, but the organizers insisted. So, I went along with it."
As McIntyre recalls, the fan "lunged" at him, claiming that the WWE Title belonged to Cody. The situation escalated, and security had to intervene. McIntyre, being the professional he is, calmed the fan down and even took a picture with him.
"I wanted to defuse the tension, so I suggested we take a picture with the title. The fan was genuinely upset, but I appreciated the passion. However, as soon as we took the picture, he started mouthing off again."
McIntyre's response was unique. He stepped back, placed a security guard between them, raised the title, and then playfully ran away. It was a light-hearted moment that diffused the tension.
"I believe in passionate fans. As long as they show their love for the sport, I'm all for it. It's the silent ones that worry me."
This incident has sparked a discussion among WWE fans. Some argue that the fan's behavior was inappropriate, while others commend McIntyre's handling of the situation. What's your take on this? Do you think the fan went too far, or was it all in good fun? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
